Camera Lenses What Are The Different Camera Lenses And What Do They Do?

What are the different camera lenses and what do they do? - camera lenses

I think I'll get the Canon EOS 1000D (Rebel XS) to. This is my first digital SLR. But I'm not sure how many different lenses, called to be, and what everyone.

There are over 100 different lenses Canon makes the XSi, and do not even understand the objectives formulated by other companies.

These lenses can be divided into four categories:

Wide Angle: The human eye takes around the same 50mm lens. Wide-angle lenses have a focal length of less than 50 mm. This means that it is through one of these lenses to be more than the human eye. This is good for landscapes, architecture and images of groups of people.

NORMAL: These lenses have different focal lengths in the range of 50-100mm. They are what the eye sees what is good for the problems in perspective is essential. These lenses are good for portraits.

Tele: These lenses have a focal length of 100 mm. They have "Zoom". In other words, a bird to be much closer.

SPECIALTY: These lenses such as fisheye and macro.

Once you have sorted through the focal length, the differences can be attributed to quality, price, build clarity of the optics, and how well employed in low light.

For a beginner like you, 18-55mm lens kit probably correct. If you have money, even a decent telephoto 70-300mm ($ 600 want to add, can). You can also use the 50mm f/1.8 for $ 100, because it feels good to take in low light conditions and to cover you with a wealth of background information.

This link helps! Go down to the section of the lens.

Although hipp5 gives a good description, look at the link I posted, it is less detailed and more information!
